About Sean E. O’Neill

Founder & Principal, C Suite Connect

I started C Suite Connect after watching too many promising early-stage companies march straight off a cliff—not because their product or service was bad, but because they refused to listen to the market.

Fifteen or twenty years ago, I was a bit naive. I believed that if you brought hard-won, direct feedback from real C-suite decision-makers back to the leadership team, they would naturally use it to iterate and make the product better. I had leveraged my personal networks and LinkedIn relationships to get in the door with actual buyers, only to realize something frustrating:

Most companies were already too far down the rabbit hole.

They had sunk millions into elaborate marketing campaigns, hired expensive sales organizations, and built rigid infrastructure around an unproven motion. Instead of adjusting the product to solve the buyer's actual problem, they doubled down on the noise. Showing leadership that the market wasn't buying what they built usually got me shown the door.

In early-stage B2B companies—especially those with under $10M in seed or Series A funding—this failure to listen isn't just a misstep. It is a prelude to extinction.

The Birth of C Suite Connect

I realized there had to be a better way. I wanted to build a practice dedicated exclusively to working with early-stage Founders, CEOs, and Boards who:

  • Want to grow organically and sustainably.

  • Keep their egos in check and prioritize market transparency over vanity metrics.

  • Focus fanatically on securing their next 5, 10, or 15 enterprise clients through real human relationships rather than burning runway on premature sales hires.

That is the foundation of C Suite Connect: bridging the gap between initial lighthouse customers and repeatable enterprise revenue through high-touch, executive-level engagement.

I started out back in 2006 with a Two Healthcare Clients (Paladina Health- Now Everside Health and Trexin Healthcare Consulting.)

25+ Years of Front-Line Experience

My perspective isn't theoretical. Prior to refocusing on my consulting practice full-time in 2021, I spent over two decades in high-stakes enterprise sales. That included a full-time operating chapter with BlackBerry—where I got sold on the line "This role is different" and attempted to plug back into the corporate sales matrix, right up until the 2020 pandemic saved me and forced a reset.

Throughout my career, my best work has consistently happened at the front end of emerging markets—when the product is still being refined, the ideal buyer isn’t obvious, and the company is still agile enough to pivot based on real feedback.

I have led go-to-market strategies and executive outreach across a broad footprint of complex sectors:

  • Healthcare SaaS & Digital Health

  • Sustainability & Clean Tech

  • Financial Services & Fintech

  • Blockchain & Distributed Systems

  • Robotics & Industrial Automation

  • Consulting & Professional SaaS Services

‍ ‍

Across every single one of these industries, the core equation never changes: If you engage the right human decision-maker early enough, listen with humility, and stay patient, you build sustainable organic growth with great enterprise customers.

In the age of AI—where the market is flooded with automated noise claiming that complex enterprise sales can be handled by a bot—the ability to find, access, and build genuine relationships with human decision-makers isn't obsolete. It is a skill that grows more valuable every day.
